Coaching Programme for NQSWs: Report Writing & Analytical Recording
INTRODUCTION:
This session is primarily for Newly Qualified Social Workers who are working with children and families, as an opportunity to support their confidence to practice post-qualifying.
Participants will explore how written work can use ‘Language that Cares’ whilst also ensuring that it is analytical and child-focused.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Be familiar with ‘Language that Cares’, and feel confident in writing in a similar style and tone;
- Know how the child’s voice can be emphasised in report writing and recording, and how this can be done when a child is pre-verbal or uses non-verbal communication methods;
- Think about the importance of analysis, reflection and hypothesising in report writing and recording;
