Practice Educator
The Practice Education course comprises of two 30-credit modules; Stage One and Stage Two.
Stage One
The Practice Education Stage One module allows candidates to gain a greater understanding of some of the main areas involved in supervising, teaching, mentoring, coaching and assessing social work students.
Successful completion of this module allows learners to progress to the Stage Two module, which is Stage two of the Practice Educator Professional Requirements (PEPS).
Entry requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with at least 1 year post-qualifying experience
- Upon successful completion of this module, student can to the Practice, Teaching & assessment module which is Stage 2 of the Practice Educator Professional Requirements (PEPS).
Stage Two
This module includes an overview of the main areas involved in supervising,teaching, mentoring, coaching and assessing social work students studying qualifying social work programmes. This module focuses on achieving the Practice Educator Professional Standards.
