Research in social work practice helps you identify the best options for planning care and services; compare the effectiveness of different interventions; plus keeps you up-to-date with current practice leading to better client outcomes.  But where to go and how do you find the evidence?

This half day session will:

  • Explore three resources that can be easily accessed via the internet (Google Scholar; Social Care Online; NICE);
  • Develop your skills in searching for the best evidence for your needs;
  • Get you thinking about the type of information you need, and how to evaluate its reliability and relevance for you.

This session will be delivered by Jodie Ward, Subject Liaison Librarian at Middlesex University.

This session is open to Social Workers and staff working in Social Care across the Teaching Partnership (Barnet, Hackney, Haringey, Enfield, and Norwood).
